PTC Accounting & Finance Inc. was originally founded as Part-Time Controllers in 1991 by Bruce Singer, our CEO & Visionary and Chartered Accountant. Bruce began this business in the basement of his own house with the help of Mindy Berchansky, who today is PTC’s President and Principal. Both Bruce and Mindy understood the time, dedication and sacrifices they had to make in order to establish and run a successful business but both were persistent. Bruce recognized that many large organizations would be receptive to a high-quality, professional recruitment firm whose sole specialty was the provision of interim accounting and finance resources for contracts, projects and open positions. People laughed at the concept but Bruce knew better and believed it to be a winning business idea.

Today, after 15 years of being in business and still a privately owned company, PTC Accounting & Finance has grown tremendously. Now with two locations in the GTA – the primary location in Concord and the other in Downtown Toronto – and over 30 internal employees, we can efficiently service our clients and candidates. PTC has established itself as a reputable leading recruitment agency for contract accounting and finance professionals in the Southern Ontario marketplace, boasting an impressive client list of top employers and Fortune 500 companies. Our niche continues to be the recruitment and placement of accounting and finance professionals as interim resources to businesses within the GTAand beyond.

PTC’s team is comprised of many professional accountants. All of our Client Relations Managers have an accounting background, and many hold accounting designations. In addition, PTC Recruiters also have an accounting background or extensive experience in the recruitment of accounting and finance professionals.
